HaramBlur Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 26, 2026
This policy explains how the HaramBlur iOS app (the “App”), provided by Mohamed Elganzory (“we”, “us”), handles information.
What the App does on your device
HaramBlur displays supported websites in an in-app browser and analyzes images and video frames on your device to identify and blur selected content. We do not send the URLs you visit, page content, images, video frames, browsing history, contact details, or precise location to our analytics or advertising-measurement providers. Websites you choose to visit still receive normal web requests and may use cookies or other technologies under their own privacy policies.
Information we and our service providers process
- Usage and app information: when “Share Usage Data” is enabled, Firebase Analytics receives aggregated interaction events such as feature use, settings categories, performance buckets, app version, device type, operating system, and general region inferred by the provider. We do not place visited URLs or page content in these events.
- Crash and diagnostic information: Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash logs, diagnostic events, device and operating-system information, app version, and technical error context so we can maintain reliability. Crash reports are not intended to contain visited URLs or page content.
- Advertising measurement and subscription events: when “Share Usage Data” is enabled, Meta App Events receives app activation, checkout initiation, free-trial start, and paid-subscription events. These events can include the subscription product identifier, transaction identifier, value, currency, and device or app identifiers processed by Meta for analytics and advertising measurement. HaramBlur disables Meta’s automatic purchase logging and advertising-identifier collection and does not access Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
- Purchases: Apple processes subscription purchases, billing, and account information. The App receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock the subscription, but we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Feedback you choose to submit: if you send feedback from the App, we receive the text, feedback category, timestamp, app version, device model, iOS version, and any screenshot you voluntarily attach. This information is transmitted through Google Apps Script and stored in Google Sheets for support and product improvement.
Your choices
You can turn off Share Usage Data in HaramBlur Settings at any time. This disables Firebase usage analytics and Meta App Events from that point forward. It does not prevent essential StoreKit purchase processing, website requests you initiate, or crash diagnostics used to maintain the App. You can remove website cookies and local app data using applicable iOS controls or by deleting the App.
How information is used
We use the information described above to provide subscriptions and app functionality, understand aggregate feature performance, diagnose failures, respond to feedback, prevent abuse, and measure the effectiveness of App Store promotion campaigns. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
The App uses services operated by:
- Google (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Apps Script, and Google Sheets)
- Meta (App Events and advertising measurement)
- Apple (App Store and StoreKit purchases)
These providers process information under their own privacy terms and retention practices.
Retention and deletion
Service providers retain analytics and diagnostic information according to their configured retention periods and policies. We retain voluntarily submitted feedback only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, and product improvement. To request deletion of feedback or other information directly controlled by us, contact info@haramblur.com. Because HaramBlur does not require an account, please include enough information for us to locate the submission without sending unnecessary personal data.
Children
HaramBlur is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their legal terms and safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or its service providers change. We will publish the revised policy at this address and update the effective date.
